Nefertara Clark, Esq.

Nefertara Clark, Esq. is one of the brightest and most successful young lawyers in the Southeast. Her sparkling reputation is based upon her encyclopedic knowledge of the law and her distinctive ability to connect with her clients. Attorney Clark cut her legal teeth as a Public Defender in Fulton County.
An April 25, 2004 initiate of Gamma Upsilon Chapter, Nefertara celebrates 17 years of uninterrupted service to Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. this year, along with her line sisters – The 58 Pearls of Perfection. A member of Iota Psi Omega Chapter (Athens, GA) since December 2009, Soror Nefertara recently completed her 2 - year term as President. Prior to serving as President, she served as Secretary, 2nd Vice President and 1st Vice President. She currently serves as Treasurer for Georgia Alliance of African American Attorneys (GAAAA) and Deacon and Church Attorney for Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church (Atlanta, GA). She is a Diamond Life Member of Savannah State University National Alumni Association (Atlanta – Downtown Chapter) and a Life Member of the NAACP (Fulton County Branch). She was named 2015 Prestigious Young Alumnus of the Year and 2020 National Alumni Queen by the Savannah State University National Alumni Association (SSUNAA).
Nefertara is an Elbert County Native, currently living and practicing law in Atlanta, Georgia. She is an honor graduate of the following institutions: UCONN Law (2011 - LL.M. Insurance Law), Southern University Law Center (2007 – Juris Doctorate), Savannah State University (2004 - B.S. Criminal Justice) and Elbert County High School (2001).
Attorney Clark enrolled at Savannah State University in January 2001, 6 months prior to her graduation from Elbert County Comprehensive High School. At Savannah State, she hit the ground running. She was an active member and officer of several organizations, including Student Government Association (Associate Justice), The Coastal Empire Sound Explosion Marching Band (Vice President of Bands), Iota Phi Lambda Business Sorority (Vice President), Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. – Gamma Upsilon Chapter, Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, SSU Peer Counselor’s Association, Lady Tigers Softball Team, Tigers Roar Newspaper (Copy Editor) and the NAACP. Nefertara continued her tradition of being a scholar at Savannah State & Southern University. She received several scholarships, which she is thankful for to this day – a full Presidential Scholarship, Hope Scholarship, Georgia Board of Regents Study Abroad Scholarship, Softball Scholarship and an Academic Legal Studies Scholarship.
After graduation from Savannah State, Nefertara enrolled at Southern University Law Center in the fall of 2004. While at SULC, she was an active member of the student body, serving as copy editor of the law center newspaper – The Public Defender, Student Bar Association Secretary, Editor of the Law Review and the Black Law Students Association's Southern Region Mock Trial Specialist (for GA, FL, SC, NC, LA, AL, MS and AK).
After graduation from law school in 2007, Ms. Clark took the July bar and was licensed to practice law in October 2007. After serving as an Atlanta Judicial Circuit (Fulton County) Public Defender in the major felony division for a little more than seven (7) years, Atty. Clark entered private practice with her father Attorney John M. Clark in January 2015, becoming the managing partner of Clark & Clark Law Group, LLC. – with locations in Atlanta and Elberton.
In addition to being an attorney, Nefertara is a published author, a writer, public speaker, community and voting rights advocate, soap maker, retired blogger, craft enthusiast, music lover, mentor, servant leader and silent encourager who is perfectly imperfect and created in Jesus Christ to do great works!
