Welcome to the official website of the Iota Psi Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®. It is my honor to serve as President of this illustrious chapter. Our chapter has served Athens-Clarke County and the surrounding areas for almost 50 years.   We are committed to exemplifying refinement, community impact, social consciousness, and excellence for the citizens of our community through service, scholarships and the execution of our international programs. Since 1973, the members of Iota Psi Omega have endeavored to be a local and living example of Alpha Kappa Alpha’s legacy of Service to All Mankind.

In support of our Sorority's 2022-2026 International Program Initiatives, Iota Psi Omega is committed to Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood in six initiatives:

IPO is a chapter represented by a group of diverse college-educated women who are dedicated to living up to the examples of service set by our Sorority's founders. Our members -- woven together by our bonds of sisterhood -- bring a wealth of resources, life experiences and leadership to this chapter and organization. If you are a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha and new to the area or looking for a chapter to reactivate with, we extend an invitation to visit our monthly chapter meetings.
